How would I refer to God?
He or She?

To refer God as He,
Is an insult to the lady,
that tore her stomach to bring me out
To refer God as She
Is an insult to my creator
who dropped his seed for me to sprout

When did we turn divinity
to have something as sexuality

To confine the Absolute Reality
into boxes of quality
to me is blasphemy

To wage wars and call it holy
to me is just anarchy

Being religious without performing charity
Is in no way spirituality

To reach divinity, is not exercising rituals adamantly
Rather by just practicing humanity

If the Supreme Being is but Love,
Wouldn't It know the difference between
a loving atheist and a sinful believer?

The play of words within her verse
Metaphors and idioms would re-verse
Eloquent language rupturing desires
As she write I don't think whats she aspires
Her words to my verse truly inspire

A Nation Without Any Ringgit

A Nation Without Any Ringgit

One man's dream to be the prime minister
He gambles with the nations future

Once the blue eyed boy of the dictator
Now the opposition leader

Chief among orators, he is
Any opportunity is made his
On the greed to govern
Upholding democracy is not his concern

His party has a mix of people
True leaders who has aspire good governance
True cronies who has aspire handout projects
True follower who are blind, deaf and dumb
Blind to the good work of others,
Deaf to the good work of others,
Dumb for nothing good to say about others

How can leaders grow?
When the lead is not elected

How can democracy flourish?
When favoritism flows freely

Even the voice of reason in the tone criticism
Is barked at from the pitch of loyalty

I want real change
About policies, not about holiday
I want real change
Not just from kangkung to satay

Monday Blues

Monday Blues Monday Blues,
What would cure my Monday Blues,

Morning Neslo or NEscafe O?
Would caffeine do the trick,
I don't think so

Monday Blues Monday Blues,
What would cure my Monday Blues,

At sunset a beer or a stout
Would lager or ale do the trick
Most yes, but still i doubt

Monday Blues Monday Blues,
What would cure my Monday Blues,

A pile of work with no rest
to kick me out of the weekend tune
Would it still bring out my best?

Monday Blues Monday Blues,
What would cure my Monday Blues,

The sweet smile and curved lips
The straight hair and slender hips
for Monday blues its not just a cure
Women, God's creation to adore!

Mother

A pint size lady of barely 5ft
She was bright like the full moon
while her groom was like the black moon
She lived with him for barely 30 years
She became his wife, partner and at times teacher and mother
She bore him 2 sons to carry his name
Slogged for his family and fed his guest
for duty, not for fame

He fell to cancer and little pain
She stood and nursed him again

He fell out of life and into death
She could not stand and went amok

She lost her mind for a while
Jumping and wailing
Banging her head on the wall
Asking God for her groom again to call

She wanted to kiss his lips and say "I love you" again
Pity, time has robed her forever

She picked up herself to move on
for her 2 sons to carry on

In the light of day she seems fine
Earning wages for her to freely dine

In the cloak of night she hides her sorrow
In sadness with tears, she wets her pillow

Wedding Intro Poem

Welcome one welcome all

to our lovely hall

We have a ceiling not just a tent

which the groom is paying rent

To celebrate we’re here, let’s make it last

Our lives so short, this world so vast.

A philosopher and maiden fair,

a paisley tie and daisy-ed hair

Come to you for witness true,

Each and every one of you.

To profess their love and share it with

those who've had so much to give

those who taught them what they know,

upon whose love we chanced to grow.

This union will be different from

the weddings that you've seen done

No priest, no holy flame

No officer for which they have already been done

My name is Sashi, and with me is Kavitha

We'll be master of this ceremony

we can but guide... not preside;

that is left for the groom and bride.

They two will speak their words of love

And show about their wedding from far above

Civil ceremony in Richmond Park

They exchanged vows and their love is not apart

He tied the thali in Wandsworth Hall and made her his

A maiden for him to love and kiss.

Our bride and groom are ready to come,

So settle down dear friends, no matter where you’re from.

The poem above was the opening for my friends wedding while i was the Emcee

Stylus and sheet

Dove's feather would be thy stylus
Your thine breast as sheet
With golden honey as ink

Pen prose plainly on paired paper
Eraser errors erotically with thy tongue

The above verse was inspired from the song Mudhalvane from the tamil movie Mudhalvan
