K Balachander

  A catalyst in Tamil Cinema,
 His movies were an enigma.

A man who made movies beyond his time,
He pushed the industry to move their thinking every time.

Daring and bold in expressing the unthinkable,
but delivering it in a way to make it acceptable.

Not only an admirer of the Poet Barathi,
His movies had nuances of the bard's poetry.

He made a vagabond actor a superstar,
He nurtured many that are now Tamil Cinema's leading stars.

A person with chivalrous aesthetic sense,
Roles played by women in his films were truly immense.

A man who made movies not with great stars, but with a great story,
Now his life is a history.

Value the nature

Value our land,
and lets value our earth in proper,
It's in Her womb we live and prosper.

Value our valley,
and lets value our streams and the flowing river,
for elixir of sustenance is the flowing water.

Value our jungles,
and lets value our trees, plants and forest,
for if there were no greens, man would be at eternal rest.

Value our foxes, fishes and fowls,
and lets value the rest of the faunas,
these fine creatures that move in magnificent ways,
without them, life would be a sick daze.

Value our nature,
and lets value our nature,
What She gives does not have price tag,
but men pin a value and sell it back.

He was a genius, but he was lonely,
He had pigeons, as his buddy,
He was smart, he had talent,
He designed alternating current,
He was inventor, he was a creator,
To scientist he was great physics curator,
He had the brains, and he had the heart,
science for the betterment was from his heart,
Edison cheated him and tried to make money,
So he resigned but didn't sue for levy,
A famous name in the field of science in any day,
Many don’t know that he was born today,
Nikola Tesla is his name,
He worked for work sake, not for fame!

Why Nikla Tesla was the greatest geek

Weekend

The weekend is ending with Monday coming soon,
I had a good time under the sun and moon,
Spending time with those near and dear,
Now, I welcome Monday without reservation and fear.

There is something wrong with our nation

There is something wrong with our nation,
when matters of religion is more important than rape.

There is something wrong with our nation,
When racial bigotry is made a sense of pride.

There is something wrong with our nation,
When animals are not treated right and no one cares.

There is something wrong with our nation,
When parents negligence is forgiven by a funeral.

There is something wrong with our nation,
When leaders keep silent while extremist make noise.

There is something wrong with our nation,
When literate graduates from our schools.

There is something wrong with our nation,
Because our people choose to ignore their nation.

I like a girl who reads

"Bro, your being too choosy,
Get a girl, go on a date
Get again laid, do as I said," he rants

I reply grinning to my left
He says, "What type of girl you like?"

"Is it the ass and tits,
or the colour of the skin or your cultural bits,"

he looks at me holding his Hoegarden
zooming in with the eyes of those around the table
they, waiting for me to speak, to stamp a label

"I like a girl who reads" I reply
The words of literature that fuels her imagination
Where words can scare, scar and scent her skins sensation

Her fashion would not confine to the norms of the day
She would make her appearance formed, not from others say

Yes, she too at times, would avoid conversations and look down to fiddle her phone
her reads would not just be facebook status messages
as she her eyes gleam from hard cover books, paragraphs, passages

She would not be boring person because of books
Her conversations would be an adventures hook

making love can be kinky with cuffs like 50 shades of grey
or be sensuously supple like a Shakespearian play

learning to make love not just from pornography
but from the 64 positions of iconography

conversation would be whispers to the smell of papers in bookshops
rather shouting to hear each other to the smell of cigarette in the pub

she would laugh till she snorts to a witty pun
than a bimbo who prefers slap stick fun

A traditional believe she would have it too
when somethings a miss, she wont think to eschew,

You see,
some prefer ass and tits
I too like to tap on those bits
a handful of bosom is definitely awesome
but,
youth would wane and time would fly
for those who read, romance is never runs dry

it's true, I am choosy,
I look for a girl who wake up each day,
fueled with passion
walks through life with her own goals and vision
all these tickles my sensations
So, I like a girl who reads.

Take the road less travelled, Even if its the only road you see

Take the road less traveled,
Even if its the only road you see.

Live your dreams, thus achieve greatness,
Not at the expense of other,
but with the sweat of yours,
never succumb to others will,
only then one lives with thrill,
request with courtesy,
than beg with sympathy,
it's better to die ,
with head held high,
than to cease,
with a hung head and bent knees,
Take the road less traveled,
Even if its the only road you see,

some might call you a fool,
for not taking the clever way,
some might call you numb,
for taking injury on your way,
some might call you dumb,
for not making money on your way,
never succumb to what others say,
justly create your own way,
Take the road less traveled,
Even if its the only road you see.

Take the road less traveled,
Even if its the only road you see.
