7 Stages of Love

Stage 1 - Sight (Hub)

The first glance cast upon this female temptress
I am digging a path for love's entrance
When bodies embrace we are judged by bystanders
When our eyes embrace how can they know
Love and lust creep in by sight
No matter how hard I try, I can never stop it, with all my might

Stage 2 - Intoxication (Uns)

I can’t sleep well, I can’t eat well
My visions are blurred
My thoughts aren’t still
I am moving, but  not at my will I have transformed from a soldier to a vagabond
Liquor when drunk intoxicates,
How is it I am intoxicated each moment when I think of you

Stage 3 - Physical Contact (Ishq)

Call it love
Call it lust, if you must
Lets our palms embrace
It’s no disgrace
I wanna kiss your lips
Hold your hips
Let’s be together, Lets be one
Let’s forget the world, let’s have fun
Yes, stroke me with a sensuous touch
I ascend to heaven and back
with your each caress

 Stage 4 - Worship (Aqeedat)

I have lost myself in your worship
You are my Goddess and I am thy humble servant
The object of my reverence
The pinnacle of my prayer
Yes, I have become your devotee

Stage 5 - Sacrifice (Ibaadat)

In the alter of love
I offer myself as sacrifice
Take my body
Take my blood
take my soul
do whatever you want of me
I am not an animal in your command
but a toy in your hands
even if you bathe me with flames,
my ashes would whisper your name to the song of the wind

Stage 6 - Insanity (Junoon)

Obsession, no it’s not that
Love has filled me
Lust has conquered me fully

My meditation has brought me to you
You offer me samadhi, the nirvana for me to bask in your bliss

Stage 7 - Death (Maut)

How can love be true if it exist within our veins
Love between bodies will decay
Love between hearts is divine
True love would surpass our time and live with history
Amongst future lovers it would be a lesson
No, not a lesson. It would be a scripture, their creed
for the moment I lived in your arms, my love I am immortal
Now, I throw myself happily in the valley of death

Be vulnerable

It was a beautiful Monday morning,
The sun cheekily smiled at my face forced me to get off the bed.
A child's laughter broke the silence
My niece ran to my with open arms
A toddler full of joy
She is a bundle of love indeed.
I cant help but kiss this sweet darling
Carrying this burden of love and innocence
I make my way towards the hall
Passing by my mother cooking in the kitchen
Passing by my grandmother, who is scanning the obituary section in the newspaper

Passing by my father whose smile is as radiant as the sun
I reach him and my niece starts touching his face with her gentle hands
but she only touches the frame of glass as he is on the wall

She pulls her hand back and kisses me
The last time I kisses my father,
He wore a white suit, white pants and white shoes
He was a man of style, so we sent off in his last journey with style

He taught me nothing
He didn't sit down to teach me language or math

He taught me nothing
He didn't lecture me on religion and God

He taught me nothing
greater than love

He taught me on family and love
He taught me how to sing and live
He taught me how to earn and give

He taught me how to be vulnerable

Vulnerability,
We hide it with cloaks of macho-ism and face value

Vulnerability,
We don't show it as we don't want to appear weak

Vulnerability,
Broke my mask and showed itself on 14th April
When my mother kissed my fathers lips, while he smile serenely in the box

My father said to me in silence,
live freely
be yourself
and be vulnerable
only then the woman you love will even kiss your corpse

Humans

(Sherilyn)
Humans,
We wear the oddest outfits
We don on the strangest tops
We slip on varieties of synthetics
Checked shirt, striped blouse

Ripped jeans, bursting at the seams.

Humans,
We wrap ourselves, often at the wrong places
Too tight, that one can hardly breathe
Too tight, that one requires a rescue mission
If harnessing skin tight clothes is your fear
Then you're kissing the wrong fear goodbye.

Women,
We worry about the volume of our hair
We worry about not having deeper 'longkang'
Keeping Triumph abreast to conquer our insecurities.

Women,
We worry about the length of our eyelashes
We worry about what kind of mascara to put on
Age REALLY does not define the length of skirts
Our minds are cleaner than a man's, cause we change it more often.

Men,
You... worry about... nothing.

(Sashi)
We worry about nothing?
Lady, We sow the seeds for everything!

Men,
We worry about the size of our ‘batang’
We worry about not being on time and ‘cummin’ early
Boxers, jock strap, briefs,
We worry about salah parking
When the fly's open, we worry about our brother out looking
We worry about our beer belly (taps belly)
We worry about the hair that's not growing on our head, but sprouting at other regions

Every day, man wake up and looks at the mirror and asks 3 important question

To shave or not to shave
To booze or not to booze
To fornicate or not to fornicate... well we know the answer for this

Our worries have been there since the dawn of time.
Yes, your minds are clean ladies, as it's our hose that does the work!
(Sashi looks at Sherilyn and winks, Sherilyn walks off the stage)

Women,
They get you all excited and leave you there hanging.
Hey, come back! We haven’t finished yet. (shouting at Sherilyn)

Body Talk

(Sherilyn)
As I cruised gaily along the tempered path
welcoming the sweet smell of summer flowers
flowed in like elder flower champagne
My consciousness is telling me that I'm not alone.

The heavy boot marks trailing
spin fantasies in my dreamy head
Both: Ten steps to the crossroads, I was delightfully greeted
by a tall (pause to look at Sashi then look back at audience), not so tall, dark and handsome lad.

Both: Ten steps to the crossroads, I was delightfully greeted
(pause)

(Sashi)
By a tall, slender, sassy lass

In a split second, the left masculine machinery took over,
Scanning target sir !
Target is healthy sir!
Target’s vertical altitude, surpass current capacity sir!
Horizontally is target within capacity? Privet?
Sir! Yes! Sir! Soldiers waiting to fire sir!
Roger! Proceed to explore terrain ….. my mind fired
I was blown away, when a gust of wind parted her hair to reveal her face
From analytic to intuitive my mind raced

She was of fair skin with husk of gold
With sweats of pearl on her face, she seemed like a flower in the morning dew
Her arms were like garlands, where my neck was the perfect fit.
Her gentle steps seems like a dance to the song of the evening mood.
As she came closer, I felt like ascending into heaven
For she was a Goddess, Aphrodite in sweat pants

Both: Ten steps to the crossroads, I was delightfully greeted
(pause)

(Sherilyn)
The echoing gestures emitting from my body
can be categorize into 3:
I like him, I love him and I want *middle finger*him
There ain't no, physical, doubt about it
There ain't no, philosophical, doubt about it
(bites lower lip)
Petrified by the impending wanton pandemonium.

Both: At the crossroads, I was delightfully greeted
(pause)

(Sashi)
I mustered my macho steps and broke the silence
 “Hi” (high-pitched voice)

(Sherilyn)
I took ten steps back (then walk off from stage)

(Sashi)
What the fuck was I thinking?
“Was there a unicorn in my mouth?” (high-pitched voice)
Hey, wait up! (addressing to Sherilyn)
No time to say "thanks" guys! Got to run!(addressing to the audience)

Sexual Healing

The curse and cure
is in the pit we adore
Both lips seal the fate of men
Horizontal one can make or break him
Vertical one can make or break his lineage

the high crescendo, the low pitch with the twitch of the lips
the deep moan, the loud sigh
the transcendental mantra that elevates the mind to a heavenly harem

the sweaty scent of her body mixed with odor of perfume
the exuding aroma from the back of her ear
the drugging effect that draws me to her

the trickling tongue tracing the skin
from windpipe to the lips
ending with a kiss
savoring sweat and saliva, the tang of elixir

the touch of her hand cupping the crack moon
the sweat that flows down the neck to flames of passion
the performance between the legs, pleasure in flesh and skin
reciprocating race reacting respectively

the fervor of Kama, the beauty of lust
paired perfectly in her rounded bust

the peck of her lips on my chest
my signature on her breast

Truly is a fever of lust
Where the barometer of libido rise and fall
To the patient sexual galore

It's a disease enjoyable to bear
Being trapped in a sexual lair

The poem above was inspired by another poetess and Thirukural verse below
